PCM idle learn procedure.
The learn procedure needs to be preformed when any of the following is carried out:
A. ECM.PCM is replaced
B. ECM/PCM is reset.
C. ECM/PCM is updated.
D. Throttle body is replaced or cleaned.
E. This would mean that it has to be preformed whenever the battery is disconnected.
1. Reconnect the negative battery terminal.
2. Make sure all electrical components like air conditioning, window demister and lights are turned off
3. Turn the ignition ON (II) and wait two seconds.
4. Start the car and bring the engine up to 3,000 RPM until the radiator fan comes on.
5. Allow the engine to idle for five minutes.
Do not turn any electrical components on during this time. If the fan comes on don't count the time it runs for in the five minutes of idle.
